How To Install Themes/applications On A S60 Device, using Nokia PC Suite

This is a simple idiot's guide to installing themes and applications to your S60 Device.

Step One
Download and install the (IMG:http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2342/2200107532_1e9b1133c8_m.jpg) Nokia PC Suite on your PC.

Step Two
Connect your device either USB cable or (IMG:http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2130/2200107524_39ec7ddd85_m.jpg) Bluetooth (either will suffice), and run the Nokia PC Suite, your device should be connected and displayed at the bottom (see picture).

Click on the "Install Applications" Icon.

Step Three
You will be presented with the screen below once it loads.

Now you need to find the theme or application you have to install using the left side of the screen.
Once located, select it and click the "Arrow" in the middle to start the installation.
From now on you need to pay attention to your handset's screen.
Follow the prompts on your handset to install the application or theme.

How To Change The Resolution Of Java Games/apps, For Nokias

One of the few problems with having a phone with a nice big display is that many games do not display full screen. No problem! It's an easy fix that anyone can do and you'll be running full screen games on your phone in no time.

Note: This will work about 95% of the time on S60 3rd edition phone models. I have not tested it on other models but feel free. This will not work on phones with a landscape screen (E series). This will work with any MIDlet by the way, not just games.

Guide

1. Using an archiver such as WinRAR, open the jar file.

2. Once you have opened the jar, you will see a folder called 'META-INF'. Open this folder.

3. In the META-INF folder there will be one file called 'MANIFEST.MF'. Drag this file onto your desktop and open it in notepad.

4. Now you must know 2 things to edit the file. First, you must know the original resolution of the game. Ususally this information can be found on the author's website. Second, you must know the resolution of your screen. Then type the following two lines at the end of the text in the MANIFEST.MF file:

Nokia-MIDlet-Original-Display-Size: www,xxx
Nokia-MIDlet-Target-Display-Size: yyy,zzz

In the example above 'www,xxx' represents the original resolution of the game. 'yyy,zzz' represents the resolution of your phone's display.

In the picture example below, the original game resolution is 176x208 and the target resolution of my screen (N80) is 352x416.

5. Now save the changes in the MANIFEST.MF file and drag it back into the META-INF folder in your jar file to overwrite the old one.

6. That's it! Now install the jar to your phone and enjoy your full screen game...

Send Invisible Scrap

So, Friend's welcome to the very first orkut trick.

Step1: Open scrapbook

Step2: Write [i] and submit it, an invisible scrap will b send

Note: Don't Write Anything Else [i]
You can try these various combinations also if u want to send a big no of invisible scraps, as after your few submissions it will start displaying the message "message sent too recently". So try these combinations out:

[b]
[i][u]
[i][b]
[u][i]
[u][b]
[u][i][b]
[i][u][b]
[i][u][b][i]
.
.
.

And just keep on increasing it will continue no limits...

One more method

Enter &#3021 no space b/w the symbol and number, blank scrap will be send.

Scrap Without name "trick"

For sending scraps without name follow the steps:

1) Open edit profile

2) Delete First and Second Name

3) Then on the first name text box type ALT + 0173 (i.e. Type 0173 while pressing the ALT key of your keyboard.)

4) Do the same in the Second Name Box.

5) Click Update.

Now you are done you can send scraps without your name
